This quarry has an approximate area of ​​about 38 hectares. It is the quarry with which Arenas Forna, S.L. began its business activity.
The exploitation of the quarry is carried out on the slope, with the formation of banks made by blasting with explosives.

The material is loaded using wheel shovels and chain backhoes on dumper trucks for transport to the treatment plants. There are two independent treatment plants installed for the manufacture of different types of aggregates.

The first treatment plant was installed in 1996, and since then various expansions have been made to increase and improve the quality of the products that are manufactured. It currently has a capacity of 300 Tm/h.

The products obtained in this plant are:

• Sand 0/2 and 0/4.
• Gravels 4/6, 6/10, 6/12, 12/20 and 20/32.
• Zahorra 0/50.

The second treatment plant was launched in 2002. It is located on a bench above the other plant and closer to the quarry's exploitation fronts.

This second treatment plant has a capacity of 500 Tm/h, and in it you can obtain the following products:

• Arena 0/4.
• Gravels 4/6, 6/12, 12/20 and 20/32.
• Zahorra 0/20.

A material bagging plant has also been installed to better serve the needs conveyed by our clients.

At the entrance to the quarry is located the the scale and the workshop, next to the mobile machinery parking lot.
